I am looking for staff members who will be dedicated to the server, whether there be 5, 50, or 250 players on.
We are NOT looking for people who want to be staff just to be above everybody else. Although this is a game, being staff here is work, hard work. This is VERY different from being a normal player, please think hard before you want to apply for this position.
NOTE: If you applied on the old forums, you will not need to apply again. Your application will be moved from the old forums into our files.
General Requirements
- You must have been on the server for at least 60 days. This allows you to observe how the server is run and to get a feel for what the rest of the staff are like.
- You must have a clean disciplinary record, no kicks/bans within the 60 day timeframe or 90 days if you have been with the server longer than that.
- You must be at least veteran rank before applying.
- Effective communication skills: You need to be able to communicate effectively to other players and staff, whether it be in written word on IRC, game chat, Skype or spoken word on TeamSpeak.
As a Junior Moderator you will be:
- Under Pressure - Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed with demand
- Muting and Kicking people based on the rules as needed.
- Communicating with Moderators and Admins when further disciplinary action is needed for a user.
- Keeping morale/mood high in the server.
- Working closely alongside other staff members
As a Moderator you will be:
- Dealing with Modreqs (Support Tickets)
- Under Pressure - Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed with demand
- Checking on Players for exploits
- Kicking and Banning people based on the rules as needed.
- Keeping morale/mood high in the server.
- Building in our Spawn area.
- Working closely alongside other staff members
You must have:
- A working knowledge of the plugin Towny (we can train you as you go)
- A fair an unbiased view towards players. Sponsors must be treated the same as regular players
- A mature attitude
- A good reputation on the Server, we do not need drama before we've started.
- Patience. You will be tested by players, you must not rage at them!
- The time to put into the game to help staff and players. You MUST be flexible.
- Skype, an IRC Client, and the TeamSpeak client to keep up with conversations on the game and with staff
- Been on the Server previously, and not had any trouble with us.
Your rewards:
- Creative Mode: Access to anything and everything you can get on Minecraft
- Mods and Freedom: Use any mod client you wish, fly around and do whatever you wish (as long as it doesnt affect players, mobdisguise is an exception)
- Mod status in the Minecraft area of this Forum
- Respect: Staff and Players will regard you highly
- Dependency: As soon as you join the game and say hi, expect everyone to say hi back, they need you!
- Accomplishment: You'll be making a mark in DuncsWeb history, the Server will be around for a long time, and you'll be a major part of it.

First, I'm courteous and friendly, which is ideal in a server as large as Duncsweb. Second, to coincide with the large server size, I also handle stress well, which is ideal when it comes to numerous modreqs that have been filed after the dead of night. Third and last, my maturity, in my honest opinion, is better than most, which I believe will give me an edge.

- Towny: Versatile knowledge of the players functions as well as Townyadmin functions
- Modreq: Ability to handle support tickets as they are filed as well as some of the admin functions related to modreq.
- Pokemobs: Can configure Pokemobs as well as executing administrative functions.

Your application doesn't need to look fancy. Adding colors and other formatting will not place your application above others. Keep it as simple as the example provided.
I am not going to discriminate on age of staff as we've seen a lot of younger players with a much better attitude than older ones.
If you’re chosen, you'll be put on trial as a Junior Moderator. If you do anything within this time to detriment the server (that you have done on purpose, mistakes happen) in any way, your Junior Moderator status will be removed and you will be banned. If I feel you handle the responsibilities of being a Junior Moderator, your will be moved to a Moderator position. Further advancement to Admin may also be possible after this.
Please read this whole post carefully before you post below. If you haven't taken the time to read and process it all, you won't do well at all as staff on this Server.
